Tech4Good SWFLTech4Good Goals and Actions

Our meeting of April 7th was focused on the future of the Tech4Good/SWFL Meet-Up group. We began a process to evaluate and move forward a Strategic Plan. Our Strategic Facilitator, Donna Johnston, has published the results of our SWOT analysis and identified, according to the priorities of the challenges and threats, our goals for this year. Now, we need to refine our plan to create actions and assignments.

Many of those who attended last month’s meeting expressed appreciation for the process and the opportunity to participate and be a part of the planning. The collaborative atmosphere and camaraderie led to producing meaningful and usable results. The information that was generated by this process has created a wonderful platform of information upon which we can build the future of Tech4Good SWFL .

What is a TwitterChat and how to make the most of it?

Twitter chats are the best method for catching up with your peers on Twitter, make new connections, and get the newest nonprofit or technology buzz fast. Twitter Chats are events scheduled and conducted mostly for one hour on Twitter, using a specific #hashtag and a topic.

In this session we will show you how you can participate in a Twitter chat to get the maximum benefit. We will also show you how to easily be a Twitterchat facilitator.

We will review current examples of active and regularly scheduled Twitter chats in the field of nonprofit organizations. These include: #fundchat #storymaker2014 and #commbuild
